Skating Club is proud to administer Learn to Skate program for kids
and adults both. Skating Classes are organized into age specific levels and
designed for any beginner to acquire the necessary skills to enjoy the
sport of Inline Skating for a lifetime.
The how to inline skate course for beginners wanting to feel safe
learning to skate, stop, turn and go faster.
Avoid injury and embarrassment by learning to skate with a professional
instructor using proven methods.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
The position that stops you falling
The fail safe method for taking your first Strides and learning
smoothly, without falling
How to take control and stop whenever you want to in seconds
How to create perfect braking every time learning the 4- position
sequence that even works on slopes
How to 'Feel your feet'
Know the common problems (at each stage) and exactly how to correct them
This course will educate you on choosing the right skate equipment, how
to fit and use it, how to choose where to skate and give valuable
information about weight distribution and stance, before any rolling
happens.
By the end of the course you will be able to skate slowly and later
faster with a different technique. You will be able to stop using the
heel brake and turn using the A- frame and parallel turns. You will
learn the techniques
needed to skate faster and also how to feel safe and secure with your
scissor position at all speeds.
There are also two intermediate level classes at the end of this
beginner course, to give you a sneak preview into the intermediate
level with T-stop and forwards crossovers.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Skating is a sport. So dress in athletic type clothing.
Flexible layers are encouraged incase you break a sweat.
An all sport compression helmet is also recommended but not
required.
Don't forget gloves to not only keep your hands warm, but protect
you from minor accidents.
And the number one forgotten item? Socks! A thin pair that rises
above the ankle is best.

Our traditional Learn To Skate series of lessons is here.
Lessons are 60 minutes each and run 3 days weekly for 8 weeks all
year round.
There may be space to join mid-series. Or look for the next series
to open once the current season gets rolling.
